The area cover and why

The area cover? The area covered? The area coverage?

There are so many difference ways – right and wrong – to write the title but when you sit back and think, is it the past, the future, the presence or something completely different like what you are trying to offer to the community?

Whilst you could say you will cover a city or a town, the issue you have is the people there – especially on the edges – do they live and work there? Live there, work elsewhere? Live elsewhere, work there? Thus, you need to look at the region as a whole as opposed to just the city/town because the impact of what new technologies can deliver is wide reaching!

Building Future Communities initiative is bringing together School Children (14-16 years of age), Students, Unemployed, Employed and Companies means that whether you are going to school, college, university or  work in the city/town or region – transportation will be involved, many methods will be used!

So, transportation will change as we go from petrol and diesel towards Hybrids and Electric vehicles but what will the impact of the pollution be? Obviously, the change in pollution levels will be huge as they reduce, but what other issues will this create that aren’t as positive? Such as the lose of fuel stations, repair garages, car part companies, tyre garages and breakdown companies etc – all impact on wider region but it’s the cost impact that needs to be looked at both positively and negatively.

The Building Future Communities programme that we are so pleased to be founding members of, echo’s other projects Buy Local, Supporting Local Businesses, Small Business Saturday etc – keeping as much as possible of every pound spent kept locally within the City/Town and region.

In most cases every city/town will have the knowledge, expertise and assembly people but the materials may have to come from elsewhere. So, if everyone attending is from within the City/Town and then the region, it means that everyone is able to help each other and work collaboratively – thus bringing together a great pool of business people who may normally never get to meet/work together and meet with other people too!

The programme looks to find cities/towns and use that location as base to pull the those together that interested in the core values to deliver not just collaborative working but help the local authorities and educational establishments under the long term issues that business and technology brings – both positively and negatively.

The question is, what can you do to help deliver what the community needs to survive……
