The Collaboration

The only ethos of delivering a programme is having the right engagement and this goes past Social Engagement and enters the arena of Social Collaboration….

That’s why The Building Future Communities programme’s end result is to bring School Children (14-16 years of age), Students, Unemployed, Employed and Companies together to enable everybody to collaborate whilst being able to share knowledge, also be able work together on projects as well identify issues that will identified along the way…

What ever core element people join and participate in, every thing that is discussed will be based around Digital, Social and Technology, thus leading to innovation about how things can be improved. So, if a good idea is discovered, there is also a negative which is never looked at.

The events will also look at bringing together the local Council, neighbouring Councils, County Councils, Universities, Colleges, Schools, Charities etc to enable discussions around the problems technology creates.

When discussing anything around Technology, the “elephant in the room” that is never discussed is what happens to the jobs lost due to technology and innovations – as after all, jobs will be lost and how can they be replaced? It will be difficult to replace all the jobs lost and in turn, what impact will this have on our society and with this creating a rise in the benefit system, how will this be funded?

So, as you can see, there are positives and negatives to our growth in what Digital, Social and Technology breeds – thus, the collaboration of those that create it, can also help to solve the negatives.

The outcome from this aspect of Building Future Communities means that everyone works together in enabling our communities to survive for generations to come…
